EKR rules 2026: what contractors have to have on the truck

EKR is not a homeowner grant you fill in on a portal. An obligated energy company buys certified savings. A contractor installs a listed build-up. The homeowner pays nothing for a qualifying attic job. If the material is not on the list, nobody gets paid.

What the scheme is, in one paragraph

The Energiahatékonysági Kötelezettségi Rendszer forces fuel and electricity retailers to deliver energy savings. Attic insulation of family houses is one of the cheapest savings they can buy. The usual public figure used on this site is the 150,000-home scale of the programme. The obligated party, not EuConX, decides which contractors and which SKUs are in.

What 2026 jobs still require

• A named obligated party and a contractor already on their list. Do not start a house before that pair exists.
• Insulation with CE and a Hungarian DoP. For glasswool we put ODE Starflex (λ 0.039 W/mK, EUCEB, EPD) on the truck.
• Vapour control that matches the build-up. We ship BBarrier BD70 and BK45 with the wool when the contractor asks for the GetEco-style attic pack.
• Thickness that hits the energy calculation. The 25 cm (2 × 12.5 cm) pack is the one we have delivered for this programme.
• Delivery notes that tie the pallet to the address. Audits fail on missing paper, not on λ.

Where EuConX sits

We do not administer EKR. We supply the wool and foils that contractors already use on those jobs, with ATR and the certificate pack in the same file. If you are a contractor building a 2026 slate, send the obligated party’s material list. We say yes or no against that list, not against a slogan.

2. Send us the SKU list and the weekly metre-squared rate.

3. We quote landed Hungary, CE/DoP/EUCEB pack included.

4. First drop is a trial street, not a season’s stock.
