The Telex headline reads like a celebration: toll collectors gone. On a buyer calendar, 1 January 2027 is still only the earliest possible date — a proposal, not a decree. While the rules stay softer, timing on 2026–27 material packages is the real risk. Not the PR line.
What we take from Brückner as fact
Obligation EKR continues. This is not `ekr.gov.hu`. Gas and power traders put 1.4% of turnover into efficiency for 2026–2030. The rules may change from 1 January 2027 at the earliest — intent / hope. The proposed split is 50% industrial / 25% residential (energy-poor focus) / 25% flexible. The HEM catalogue would be rewritten and intermediaries curbed. None of that is final yet.
How we read it in the field
When grant conditions tighten — and EKR developers already feel that pressure — the pain point for us was never just the price list. It was: when does the shipment arrive, are the certificates in order, and who owns the slip if something runs late. That is what EuConX was built for. We bring construction materials from Turkey into Hungary: factory price, QC, customs, door to door. We do not install.
We supply ODE Starflex glasswool and BBarrier membranes into the national attic programmes — with partners, as material supply. Corridor proof (Tendler, VFE) rests on the same discipline: timing, certificates, ownership of the slip. We do not promise HEM eligibility. We do see this: if the catalogue tightens and money tilts industrial, whoever locks specification and the material route in the softer window writes against a different list than someone who re-prices after the squeeze.
If the industrial 50% gets a green light — do your pipelines tilt toward hall / institutional retrofits? And in 26–27 prep, do insulation / membrane or attic decks move first?
Talk it through — specification and supply timing. Preparation, not an accounting guarantee.
