This guide is for builders' merchants, wholesalers, roofing-system brands, contractor groups and aggregators in Hungary and the wider CEE region who buy membranes in volume. It covers how a private label roof membrane is sourced through EuConX: what you specify, which documents you receive, who carries the declaration of performance, and what the quote fixes. What a private label membrane is
A private label product is made by one manufacturer and placed on the market by the buyer under the buyer's own name or trademark. The buyer's brand appears on the membrane print and on the roll label.
The buyer does not need to find a plant, book a production slot or arrange freight. EuConX runs the supply side. We collect the specification, send samples and data sheets, coordinate print and label approval with the manufacturer, and bring the finished batch to Hungary by road. The membranes are produced by Bilnur Plastik Tekstil San. ve Tic. A.Ş. in Sincan (Ankara, Türkiye).
The working example: BK45 and BD70
The model is already in use. BK45 (vapour barrier) and BD70 (breathable membrane) are EuConX own-brand membranes, both made by Bilnur. On both declarations of performance (DoP), Bilnur is named as manufacturer and EuConX ISO Kft as authorised representative.
What the two DoPs declare:
- BK45 vapour barrier: 45 g/m², Sd 20 m, watertightness W1, tensile strength 95/55 N/5 cm, reaction to fire E, roll 1.6 m × 160 m², TS EN 13859-1/-2 (DoP).
- BD70 breathable membrane: 70 g/m², Sd 0.02 m (also after artificial ageing at 70 °C for 12 weeks), water column 259 mm H₂O, tensile strength 175/100 N/5 cm, reaction to fire E, roll 1.6 m wide, 160 m² (DoP).
An own-brand batch follows the same pattern: the manufacturer supplies the product and its test basis, the buyer supplies the brand. The BK45 data and how to check its DoP are covered in the BK45 vapour control layer guide.
The process in five steps
1. Specification. You state the membrane type (for example vapour barrier or breathable underlay), the mass per area (g/m²), roll width and length, and the quantity.
2. Sample and documents. We send a sample of the chosen type with the manufacturer's technical data sheet (TDS) and the declaration of performance (DoP).
3. Brand approval. You send the print and label artwork and approve the final proof before production.
4. Production. Bilnur produces the membrane in Türkiye to the approved specification and artwork.
5. Delivery. The batch travels by road from Türkiye to Hungary. Transit is 3–5 days, about 5 on average.
The quote fixes the overall timing. When the material is not in stock, ordering, production and transport together typically take 1–2 weeks. For an own-brand batch the artwork lead time comes on top, and we state it in the quote.

Which base grades you can start from
The table lists the manufacturer grades a request can start from. Which grade can be made in which format under your brand is set in the quote.
Each grade has its own role. BK45 is a vapour barrier for the warm side of the insulation. BD70 is breathable and goes on the cold side. ELIT is a roof underlay with Sd 0.2 m and, per its data sheet, watertightness class W1. GOLD is a facade membrane, also Sd 0.2 m. PLATINUM PRO is a reinforced membrane with Sd 15 m. MET is a reflective membrane with Sd 100 m.
Mass per area is not vapour resistance. BK45 weighs 45 g/m² at Sd 20 m; BD70 weighs 70 g/m² at Sd 0.02 m. A specification should therefore always give the Sd value and the role next to the g/m². The Sd value guide explains both numbers.
Documentation: who counts as the manufacturer
With an own brand, documentation is not a formality. Under Article 15 of Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 on construction products, an importer or distributor who places a construction product on the market under its own name or trademark is considered a manufacturer and is subject to the manufacturer's obligations under Article 11 (Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, Article 15).
For that reason the documentation conditions, including the declaration of performance and the labelling, are agreed and recorded per order. For BK45 and BD70 the DoP names Bilnur as manufacturer and EuConX ISO Kft as authorised representative. For a batch under a buyer's brand, the order sets the arrangement.

What the quote fixes
The minimum order quantity, the artwork lead time and the branding price are set in the quote. There is no general figure for any of them, because they depend on the grade, roll size, artwork and quantity.
For a quote we need:
- membrane type and role (vapour barrier, breathable, roof underlay, facade, reinforced or reflective);
- mass per area (g/m²);
- roll width and roll length;
- quantity, and whether it is a one-off or a repeat order;
- the print and label artwork, or a draft of it;
- the delivery address.

Delivery and acceptance
The finished batch travels on stretch-wrapped pallets by road to Hungary. Transit is 3–5 days, about 5 on average, and we deliver nationwide within Hungary. Ordering by truck and loading plans are covered in our guide to sourcing insulation from Turkey.
