The short version
ÉVOSZ’s Visegrád Four construction review is an industry-association outlook, not a single official V4 forecast. It brings together observations and expectations drawn from different country markets and cited sources. Read country-specific projections as attributed expectations, not established outcomes. A regional headline cannot confirm demand, supplier capacity or delivery dates for an individual Hungarian project.
Keep observations separate from forecasts
A market review may combine historical indicators, association interpretation and forward-looking scenarios. The first should be tied to a named data source and period; the latter depends on assumptions about financing, public investment, housing, industrial projects, labour and the availability of materials. The 2026–27 horizon is especially sensitive to changes in those conditions. Where ÉVOSZ cites a national source, use that source’s definition and date rather than treating the press release as underlying statistical evidence.
One useful procurement contrast is Hungary’s reported scarcity of new orders alongside capacity constraints described in parts of the wider V4 market. These are not contradictory: a market can have fewer newly announced orders while individual sectors or suppliers still face bottlenecks. They are also not proof that a specific product is scarce or plentiful. The KSH July series provides current measured Hungarian output and contract indicators; ÉVOSZ offers a broader regional framing.
Turn the outlook into a project check
Do not infer a Hungarian stock position, factory capacity, freight duration or project price from a regional forecast. Request a current offer with exact product code, quantity, production slot, documents, packaging, transport route and site access. For uncertain start dates, compare a firm base quantity with an optional later release, and identify a local alternative. Refresh assumptions when the client confirms the programme.
Source and limits
This article relies on ÉVOSZ’s 2026–27 V4 review as an association summary and cites KSH separately for measured Hungarian statistics. Country indicators may differ in definition, period and publication cadence. Numerical forecasts are omitted here unless their cited source and date are clearly attributable. The review was checked on 23 September 2026; it is not a guarantee or an independent forecast.
Treat country comparisons cautiously
A description such as “order scarcity” in one market and “capacity constraints” in another may refer to different indicators, sectors and publication dates. It should not be read as a common ranking or a like-for-like performance measure. Before comparing cited national figures, check the original source’s definition, covered construction activity and reference period. The association release is a useful frame, but not the underlying statistical series and not proof of a product-specific shortage.
For a Hungarian buyer, the outlook can prompt useful questions: how firm is the local order pipeline, has an alternative manufacturer confirmed capacity for the exact product and quantity, and is a route actually available on the required dates? Reconfirm these answers for each order. A claimed supply constraint becomes relevant to a project only when a supplier confirms it for the specific item, volume and delivery date.
Observation, outlook and a fresh project check
The visual separates three time layers: KSH measurements for July 2026 in Hungary; ÉVOSZ’s association outlook for 2026–27 across V4 markets; and a new check of demand, supplier capacity and quotations before a project starts. A forecast is not a certain outcome.
