Free attic insulation 2026: a homeowner sequence that does not invent a grant

If someone knocks and offers free attic wool, they are usually working for an EKR obligated energy company. The company buys the energy saving. You get the insulation. You do not send EuConX an application.

Why the attic first

Heat leaves a Hungarian family house through an uninsulated loft faster than through a finished façade. 25 cm of glasswool in the joists is the cheap, dry, one-week intervention. That is why obligated parties buy this measure.

What “free attic insulation 2026” means in practice

• An obligated party is still buying savings in 2026. The public scale we use on the site is 150,000 homes. Your street is either on a contractor’s list or it is not.
• The contractor, not you, orders the wool.
• The build-up has to be the one that party listed. The pack we have delivered is ODE Starflex 2 × 12.5 cm and BBarrier foils.
• You should still get a delivery note and a short handover. If you get neither, call the obligated party, not only the fitter.

We are not the obligated party. We cannot put your address on a free list.

What EuConX is in this chain

We import the wool and foils the contractors use. If you are a homeowner, ask the contractor which SKU they install. If they name Starflex, that is us. If you are a contractor, send the weekly m².

Sequence if a crew is coming

1. Empty the loft boarding they told you to empty.

2. Ask which foil goes where (warm side / cold side).

3. Keep the delivery note.

4. If the thickness looks like one 10 cm roll, stop the job and call the obligated party.
